In Canton Again Discussed Foreign Secretary Asking For Further Details
Representations Already Made By Mr. Blunt
London, To-day. The case of the Hong Kong firm of Wallace Harper, whose premises in Canton were broken into by the Japanese military during the occupation, was again mentioned in the House of Com- mons yesterday.
The case was brought up by Mr. A. C. Crossley, Conservative member for Stretford, who ask- ed as to the result of official enquiries into the case in which Japanese soldiers entered the premises of "Andrew Harper and Company" in Canton and seized motorcars and acces- sories there in spite of British consular seals on the building.
