Mr. Neville Chamberlain is accused of rashness and carelessness for his "no pledge to France" statement in the House of Commons, by "Per- tinax," writing in the newspaper "l'Ordre.” The French commentator states that Britain will not be able to choose her attitude in the event of a Franco-Italian conflict as Italy would never dare to attack France if it were not cer- tain of German support.
