Staff of the Office continued to support enthusiastically the two annual sports events organized by the Department. In the 9th P.W.D. Sports Day, the Office won the volley-ball and ten pin bowling championships.
Mr. CHAN Chi-chiu of the Office won the Best Athlete award in track and field events.

In the 8th P.W.D. Swimming Gala, Mr. WONG Man-leung of the Office won the Best Individual award.

The 7-a-side mini-football league for the Stead Challenge Trophy was held as a joint function between Highways Office and Civil Engineering Office. Five Divisions of the Office took part.
