The South African Minister for Defence, Mr. Pirow, has arrived from the Hague. He will, accord- ing to a statement by reliable sources, remain in London until his departure for South Africa. Mr. Pirow spent about four weeks in Europe. His first important conversations were in Lisbon, where he discussed questions of defence inter- esting South Africa and Portugal as well as matters concerning air traffic.
