to other areas including the manufacture of flag poles and teakwood place names. Transport and associated items became the largest single item of expenditure in hosting the Meeting and totalled approximately $400,000. Transport hired included 60 air-conditioned limousines and 6 luxury coaches. During the actual meeting a large number of clerical staff volunteered to service the transport desks at the hotels where the delegates were staying whilst technical staff manned the control centres and breakdown services.
