GERMANS EXHIBIT HIGH INDIGNATION WITH NEWS-CHRONICLE
Berlin, To-day.
Indignation is shown in the German press at the assertion of the London "News Chronicle” that Hitler has mobilised three army corps and that 100,000 men will be under weapons near the Czecho-Slovak frontier by Saturday.
Before refuting this report of alleged German mili- tary activity, the papers recall that the "News Chronicle" indulged in the same tactics during the crisis period of past summer publishing a series of false statements designed to turn world opinion against Germany.
"Making use of the same corrupti means" the German semi-official news agency states, "it endeavours for the second time to undermine pacification which is beginning to make progress in Europe.
