Larwood Joins A League Club

London, November 12, Harold Larwood, the former Nottinghamshire · and England: fast bowler, will play for Black- pool in the Riblesdale League next summer.
Less than three weeks ago it was announced that Larwood had given up country cricket because his knee could not stand up to the strain of fast bowling, and Nottinghamshire released him from his contract.

London, November-12. Dona'd Budke Will take part in a tournament with Ellsworth Vines and Fred Perry, the men who preceded him as Wimbledon Champion, at the Em-. pire Pool, Wembley, on May 16, 18, and 20 text year,
We have an agreement with Jack Harris, the American promoter - pro- perly signed and sealed, for Budge, Vines, and Perry to take part m-a tournament with other professionals... here th May," an omeial of the Empire Pool told a reporter last night.
The only question outstanding, has been, whether Budge would accept the offer made him by Harris or that of another rival promoter. His decision clarifies the position.
