SCOTS FAVOURED
In the remaining encounter South China "B" entertain Royal Scots, but in view of their very poor show- ing of late, the Scots are expected to come away with the points.
Whether the result of the fight will be announced through the Press depends upon the arguments which the have already started between different parties interested.

Lanwood stated that his ment from the ranks of Nottingi hamshire meant a great deal to him financially as well as sentimentally He had received no, tentative in quiries for his services from any other club.
"Every time I bowled last season" he added, "my knee used to swell badly. I discussed the matter with my medical advisers and tried elastic bandages without success.
"In view of this it was useless to consider bowling again, so I asked the club to release me.”
Boon's manager, Mr. Jack Solomans. and Danahar himself. Mr. Solomans sigued on behalf of Boon for the fight, and Danahar put his own signature to the contract..
The reason Boon and Danahar are fighting in private is stated to be that Danahar does not want to meet Boon in public other than at the Na tional Sporting Club, while Boon is equally emphatic that he does not want to meet Danahar there.
Mr. John Harding said?—“I do not approve of the match being in private at all. I am going to ask Danahar to appear before the directors of the National Sporting Club. I do nos see why the members of the Club who have, after all, been Danahar's staun- chest supporters, should be provented from seeing him in this fight against Boon
"The Club are not able to make a better-offer than that which has al- ready been made to the two men, but. they can protest most strongly about the fight being allowed to go on in this... Way."
Mr. Hulls stated that "The contract- has been definitely signed, and whe ther people argue about it or not, that is a concrete fact.”

Larwood Retiring From County Cricket
Harold Larwood. Nottinghamshire and England fast bowler, is retiring. from county cricket.
This news was contained in a state- ment issued by the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, which reads:
"It is a matter of general knowledge that for some time past, owing to the condition of his knee. Harold Larwood has been unable to bowl,
Having come to the conclusion, founded on medical advice,_that there was no likelihood of any im- provement, Larwood has generous- ly asked the committee to release him from the remainder of his contract, which has another two years to run. This offer the com- mittee have accepted whilst deeply regretting the circumstances which have rendered it necessary." true form since he returned from the Larwood has never recovered his tour of Australia in 1982-88, during which he injured his left foot. He underwent several operations, which at the time seemed successful, but the strain imposed on his leg when bowling all out proved too much,
Last summer Larwood took dhly, big- wickets for 866 runs and did not play. (Continued at foot preceeding Oples
