Major A.-T. G. Gardner, the British motor-racing driver, is leav ing London for Germany, where he hopes to create a speed record on the new Berlin-Leipzig motor road. He will be the first motorist to use the road, and a 15 mile stretch near Dessau has been "booked" for him. The record he hopes to break is his own-148.7 m.p.ft., for the 1,100 cc. class.
