The Government Architects administer the work of the Architectural Divisions with particular regard to control and co-ordination. Government Architect/Administration has particular responsibility for Architectural Divisions II, IV and V and Government Architect/General for Architectural Divisions I and III.

All five Architectural Divisions are engaged on new works and each is headed by a Chief Architect. Divisions I and II are each sub-divided into three groups headed by Senior Architects, each group forming a working team capable of handling the whole process of designing the buildings and preparing the architectural drawings for the projects allocated to them.
