I have studied the reports of the two Committees which are before us to-day with much interest and am deeply impressed by their con- tents. I congratulate the 1937 Committee on making arrange- ments for regular visits by a Lady Medical Officer: that was a most wise step. Also I recognise the especiat difficulties which the troubles of last year brought upon them and I commend warmly the measures which they took to meet them.
