BREAK ALL RECORDS
After a flight lasting almost exactly 48 hours, the R.A.F.'s wonder Vickers Wellesley monoplane bombers have regained for Britain the world's long-distance non-stop flight record.
Two of the planes reached Darwin at about 1.30 p.m. to-day (local time), while the remaining ma- chine, Number Two, was forced down owing to petrol shortage.

Shanghai, To-day.
Total distance already covered is 17,162 miles, and so Britain once more possesses the long-distance re- cord, captured by Soviet Russia in July last year with a distance of 6,700 miles..
The planes hopped off from Ismai- lia, in Egypt, at 9.55 (G.M.T.) .on Saturday morning, and when they reached Australia this, morning it was about 3 a.m. (G.M.T.), the average speed being just under 150 miles an hour.
Wing-Commander O. B. Gayford, officer commanding. R.A.F. Vickers-Wellesley bomber unit, which to-day completed an epic re- cord-breaking nonstop flight from Egypt to Australia, is shown above at Ismaila. On left is one of the men who actually piloted the ma- chines. It is believed to be Wing-Commander Kellett, leader of the flight. (By Air Mail. Copyright),

WHEN YOU BUY ON PRICE you can never be sure.
It's unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much
you
lose # little money that's all: but when you pay too little you sometimes lose everything, be- cause the thing you bought is incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law. of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done! If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to buy quality.
