London, To-day. Responsibility for Air Raid Precautions will be taken from the Home Office and put under the Lord Privy Seal, Sir John Anderson, declared the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, in the House of Commons yesterday.
Sir John Anderson, said Mr. Chamberlain, would in effect be Minister for Civilian Defence, though he would remain Lord Privy Seal, and he would be a member of the Committee of Imperial Defence.
