UNLUCKY LLEWELLYN DIES

London, September 22. Flying-Officer David (“Unlucky?) Llewellyn lived for flying; last night he died for it.
He crashed near Lympne, Kent, while instructing, a pupil, Lieut- enant J. B. Kitson, Royal Horse Guards, who also died from injuries..
Since saying good-bye to record flight attempts in the autumn of 1937, Llewellyn had been chief instructor at Lympne, where he had put many R.A.F. officers through their elementary training.
