Princess Denies Author Is Friend
London, September. 12. Princess Louise Duchess of Argyll, sixth daughter of Queen Victoria and great-aunt of the King,
has never heard of Mr. David S. Duff, author of a biography of the
Princess.
The book was to have been pub- lished during the autumn. During the week-end the Princess, through her legal representative, raised objections.
"Before the Princess would give authorisation for the book to be published-and she has not herself seen it yet-there would be many formalities," a member of the Royal Household told me last night.

In her advanced years (she is 91) she feels that the quiet of a semi-public life is best.
