The "mystery" of the 35 Japanese transports lying off Shanghai has been cleared up by official re- ports received here from Shanghai. The reports state that the transports came from Korea and arrived off Shanghai on Sunday with approximately over 30,000 Japanese sol- diers who had been in special training there for the past six months.
These troops have been landed and are to be sent up the Yang- tse to the Hankow Front, where they will reinforce the Japanese forces and relieve the front-line
