FRANCE AND CZECHS AND CHINA
Sir,-Perhaps you will allow me to say a few words about the gratifying tidings published in to day's "China Mail" telling of France's determination to take firm stand vis a vis the Czech Crisis without waiting for the British Gov- ernment to take the initiative. Wel- come. indeed is this ray of light in the midst of threatening war-clouds `overshadowing' the whole world: We may now be sure that the Sudeten Territory will not fall a victim to another "lightning campaign" which, as, many observers have said, may start another world wide con- flict.
