WITH RUNCIMAN MISSION?

London, To-day. ·

The possibility of the British Government identi- fying itself officially with Lord Runciman's Mission in Prague, and thereby assuming dir- ect responsibility for the carrying out of the conditions proposed by the Czecho-Slovak Gov- ernment, is envisaged in political circles here which are now inclined to be less pessimistic and to regard the reopening of negotiations between the Czecho-Slovak Government and the Sudeten German party, at an early date, as probable.

In this connection much impor-. tance is attached to the conversa- tion which the British Ambassador, Sir Nevile Henderson, had on Fri- day in Nuremberg with. Reich Foreign Minister Dr. von Ribben- trop.

Informed quarters here stress that

Prague, To-day.

Dr. Kundt told Reuter that the Sudeten Germans are prepared to negotiate with the Czecho-Slovak Government as soon as the Mach- risch-Ostrau incidents have been liquidated.

AUXILIARY

London, To-day.

A mild sensaton was caused here

when it was discovered that a publi- city poster designed for the women's auxiliary service of an air-raid pre- caution organisation, contained the head of a German girl instead of an English one.

Practically all the papers are com- menting in a semi-humorous man- ner on this violation of patriotic sentiment.
