Lord Runciman and the Sudeten German Party both denied with emphasis yesterday state- ments made by two English newspapers. statement issued by Lord Runciman's secre- tariat refers to a report in the "Daily Tele- graph," reprinted on August 31 from the "Prager Tageblatt,". and claimed to furnish information about the conversation that took place at the Rotenhaus Castle last Sunday be- tween Runciman and members of his mission ...on one side and Henlein and members of his
party on the other.
As far as this report refers to the matters under discussion, it is stated that it lacks any foundation in fact.
The conditions and circum- stances mentioned in the report were not made known at all by Lord Runciman's mission.
