Approval of a vote to cover the preliminary cost of extending Argyle Street, Kowloon, through to Prince Edward Road, is to be sought at to-morrow's meeting of the Legis- lative Council Finance Committee.
The extension will be made in an easterly direction from Leven Road and will open up a new route to Kowloon City. The road was ori- ginally planned for construction next year, but owing to the sale of areas fronting on Argyla Street the work has become more urgently necessary. $10,000 will be spent before December.
