Little Entente Pact With Hungary

London, To-day.

The conclusion of the provisional agreement in Bel- grade between Hungary and the Little Entente, Yugoslav, Rumania and Czechoslovakia, re- garding frontier and defence questions is char- acterised by most of the papers here as triumph of political discernment.

The "Daily Herald" and the "News Chronicle" con- sider that Hungary will join the Little Entente and give up the thought of a German-Hungar- ian alliance.

The tone of the other papers is more reserved. in principle the agreement is regarded as "mar- shalling of all forces of peace."

It is stressed that a great deal has been accomplished towards clarifying the problems still unsettl- ed in the Balkans and Southeast Europe.
