Hankow, To-day.
According to semi-official messages received here from the Yangtse Front, the Chinese forces, after re-occupying Shaho, have reached the outskirts of Kiukiang where a battle is now raging.
Skirmishes are occurring along both the south and north banks of the Yangtse, but no large-scale encounter is in progress.
The positions of the Japanese along the north bank are much the same, although it is reported that considerably large
