TROOPS IN SHANGHAI
Shanghai, To-day.
Following closely on the heels of the "Doomed Bat- talion" outbreak in Shanghai recently, and in many respects bearing a resemblance to that mutiny, a riot which is said to have been of a very violent character, occurred in the French Concession last night.
One of the Chinese Military Internment Camps in the Concession, in which there are about 100 soldiers, was implicated.
The trouble started as a French] sergeant was calling the roll. Suddenly, without warning, the prisoners broke ranks and set upon the sergeant and two other foreign soldiers.
