Two blocks of departmental quarters in Kowloon for uniformed staff of the Immigration Department were completed in April 1975.

As the year ended construction work was in hand in respect of the sub-structure to 96 Type II non-departmental quarters at Borrett Road, Hong Kong.
Social Welfare Department Quarters

An estate welfare centre was completed in October 1975 at Lei Muk Shue Estate.
Urban Council Projects

As the year ended, the superstructure work was begun on the Urban Council Chamber and Offices adjacent to the City Hall. This project is due for completion in November 1976.

During the year beach buildings were completed at Stanley Main Beach, Middle Bay Beach and South Bay Beach, while changing rooms and additional showers were erected at Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach.

The year saw the commencement of work on one swimming pools complex at Aberdeen and another, together with a park, at Tai Wan. Diving and teaching pools, as an extension to the existing swimming pools complex, were also commenced at Victoria Park.

Construction work to indoor games halls at Morse Park, Cheung Sha Wan and Boundary Street Sports Ground was at an advanced stage as the year ended, as was the work to a playground adjacent to the hall in Cheung Sha Wan and other improvements to Morse Park.

Off-Street refuse collection points were completed at North Point, Aberdeen, Shau Kei Wan, Tsim Sha Tsui, Sham Shui Po, Lung Cheung Road and Kwun Tong and others were commenced at North Point and Shau Kei Wan.

At the end of the year pest control stores and quarters were under construction at Aberdeen and work was continuing on the alterations and additions to the Li Cheng Uk Tomb Museum.

During the year a latrine was completed at Stanley and by the end of the year work was in hand on other latrines at Deep Water Bay Beach, Telegraph Bay and Tai Kok Tsui while a combined latrine and bathhouse was under construction at Jordan Road.

The work to the new market in Mongkok was also well advanced at the end of the year.
