Police Projects

One Divisional Headquarters and police station at North Point was completed in June 1975 and another at Kwai Chung in February 1976.

Construction of accommodation for the Police Tactical Unit companies was completed in July 1975 at the Police Training School, Aberdeen.

By the end of the year the first stage of the Kowloon District Headquarters had been completed and work was in hand on the second stage.

As the year ended alteration work to convert barrack accommodation at Wanchai Police Station into offices was nearing completion.
Post Office Projects

Construction work on the new General Post Office situated on the waterfront in Central was well advanced at the end of the year.

Postal storage facilities, commenced in advance of the new International Mail Centre at Hung Hom due to the loss of similar facilities at Tsim Sha Tsui railway terminus, were also nearing completion when the year ended.
Prisons Projects

Work having been completed on the Prison at Pik Uk on Clear Water Bay Road just prior to the beginning of the year under review, the Maximum Security Training Centre at the same location was completed in November 1975.

Having completed the site formation and piling work during the year, work to the substructure of the Reception Centre at Lai Chi Kok was progressing well when the year ended.

Work was also progressing satisfactorily at the year's end on a new cell block and refractory unit at Stanley Prison.
