HE championships of the Amateur Athletic Association were
concluded at
the White City Stadium, London, yesterday. Italian representatives again did well, but there were some excel- lent performances by British competitors. A. A. Cooper (Woodford Green A.C.) had won the two miles walk for the seventh time in succession on Friday, and yesterday D. O. Finlay (R.A.F.) gained the same distinction in the 120 yards hurdles.
