Tokyo, To-day. The signing of a Treaty of Friendship and 1 Commerce, be- tween Italy and Manchukuowag officially announced by the Foreign Office here yesterday.
In making the announcement the Foreign Office expresses satisfac- tion at the conclusion of this Treaty, which is equivalent to "De Jure" recognition of Manchukuo by the Italian Government."
Form the Office likewise sees in the Treaty a suitable basis for the further development of friendly, re- lations between Italy and Japan. Trans-Ocean.
