One of the most promising long- distance swimmers in the Colony is Lau Bing-wah, a visitor frim Shang- hai, who has recently joined the Chung Shing Bathing Club. Only 16 years old, he has great hopes of winning the Colony cross harbour race this season.
It is reported that the Kowloon Indian Tennis Club officials are en- deavouring to obtain an area of land off Boundary Road, near Kowloon Tong, for their new club-house, as it has been found difficult to secure ad- ditional space at King's Park.
Playing for the Rest against the U.S.S. Sacramento; last Sunday, Dou- glas, first baseman of U.S.S. Min- danao, hit two home runs while D. Leonard hit a three-bagger. No less than 68 runs were scored in League games last week-end, and the use of better grade balls assisted greatly in this respect.
