GERMAN COMMENT

Berlin, To-day.

Under heavy headlines and with very caustic com- ment, the whole German press publishes re- ports of a German semi-official news agency about a new incident in Czechoslovakia, when 20 Sudeten Germans were injured.

The incident occurred near the Sudeten German town of Bodenbach where the Czechian gen- darmerie are alleged to have attacked with truncheons and the butt end of rifles, a group 20 of orderlies of the Sudetic German--Party, orderlies being injured. One of their number, Hirsch- mann, was so badly wounded on the head that he had to be taken to hospital.

The Sudeten Germans were on their way homewards from an elec- tion meeting of the Sudeten Ger-
