Hankow, To-day. The Chinese forces have re-occupied Chiahotan and Yangkatang, strategic points between Saiyi- chai and Lanfeng, along the Lunghai Railway, according to a telephone message from the front.
The Japanese troops encircled in villages north- west of Lanfeng are said to be holding out at present inside Sanyichai and Chuhsinchai. Japanese forces attacking Pohsien, in north-west Anhwei, south of Yangchen, were dispersed by the defenders, states a Chinese communique.
