RUMANIAN PREMIER NOW IN POLAND

WARSAW, YESTERDAY.

THE RUMANIAN PRIME MINISTER, THE PATRIARCH MIRON CHRISTEA, ARRIVED IN POLAND YESTERDAY FOR A STAY OF SEVERAL DAYS.

He was met and welcomed at noon on Lemberg railway sta- tion by representatives of the Polish Government and members of the high clergy of the Ortho- dox Church of Poland.

The visit had been scheduled for some time past, even before the Rumanian Church Prince, who is now 70 years old, had become leader of political affairs in Rumania.

The visit is in return for that made by the head of the Polish Orthodox Church, the Metropo- lite Dionusos, to Rumania last

year.

POLITICAL POINT

Political circles in Warsaw consider that the fact that the' Patriarch should insist on mak- ing. the journey despite the heavy demands made an him by the duties of Prime Minister, proves that the visit also has political significance.
