Explosion Inquiry

The Recorder of Leicester, Mr. P. E. Sardlands, who became King's Counsel in 1935, has been appointed Commissioner to conduct the Inquiry into the causes of the explosion at Markham Colliery on May 10th, in which 79 men lost their lives.
