It is hereby notified that the M/V "THURLAND CASTLE" with cargo on board from North Atlantic. Ports, Pacific Coast Ports, and Manila, sustained damage to ship and cargo as the result of ground- ing on Tam Kan Island morning of Monday, 2nd May, 1938. In consequence thereof General Average has been declared.

Consignees are requested to sign Lloyd's General Average Bond be- fore Bills of Lading can be coun- tersigned for delivery of cargo.

No General Average Deposit has yet been declared, and in the mean- time Lloyd's General Average Bond must be accompanied by a Bond signed by the Underwriters inter- ested in the cargo.
