The British Ambassador had urg- ed the Japanese authorities to en- sure the safeguarding of British interests in the line.
TOKYO APPROACH
The British Ambassador in Tokyo had also taken up the matter, and had asked the Japanese Govern- ment to afford an early opportunity for inspection and survey of the line and the necessary measures to safeguard British bondholders'
in-" terests.
