Lace Evening Gown And Shawl With Padded Border

Walking through the West End of London you might imagine that some childish giant was playing with colossal boxes of bricks, knocking down houses and building them up again just for fun.

This game of bricks was in great evidence Olaf's new collection. His clients, however, like the her- oine of the well-known poem, pos- sessed "that calm which stamps the caste of Vere-de-Vere," and refused to allow their attention to be dis- tracted from the clothes, which were exceedingly good.

PLANNING THE PICNIC

The difficulty of carrying water is always a problem for pienick- ers who like to boil their kettles in the open.. New water-bottles are now made in the very light- est aluminium. These are carried easily and have well-fitting screw. stoppers., They are oval in shape and are made in three sizes, the smallest being for haver-sack use.

New vacuum flasks which re- cently appeared in London are covered, with coloured composition and are square in shape, so that they are easily packed. They are made in blue, green, pink and pale yellow and the screw top makes an excellent drinking vessel.

Light aluminium tins are made for carrying food. There are ad- Justable divisions inside the tins, so that various things such as fruit, salads, sandwiches or cakes. can be carried in them and kept in perfect condition.
