Sidwell is one of the greatest Aus- tralian stroke players, but has serious defect.

Impatience and lack

of determined concentration at critical sages is the cause. He is improving in this respect..

A great tennis future has been pre- dicted for Denny Pails, and as he is only sixteen years of age, he has every chance of fulfilling it.

doubles

As in the junior national final in Adelaide, he gave worthy sup-.. port to Sidwell in defeating Huxley and Bennett in the under twenty-one doubles championship.

Pails has also won the under seven- teen singles and doubles champion- ships. His partmership with Sidwell already has a great foundation, with wonderful future prospects.

Roy Felan, Arthur Felan, and Arthur Bowe are other boys who show definite promise.

The last two have forceful stroke equipment, which might quickly res- pond to coaching, but it is considered that Roy Felan, who is the youngest of the trio, has the greatest possibili- ties.

He is sixteen years of age, possesses a severe service and overhead, and his ground strokes carry great pace and are well controlled, while his volleying is crisp and decisive.":"
