FAIL TO FIND FORM
(By REFEREE)
LUK Ding-cheong and Wong Shin-wing, a C.R.C. "A" Division"
League tennis pairing, yesterday entered the semi-final round of the Colony Open Doubles Lawn Tennis Championship, when they beat H. Owen Hughes and T. A. Pearce in straight sets by 6-2, 6-2 in an extraordinarily poor encounter.
After the entertaining matches witnessed during the semi- finals of the Open Singles and Doubles Championships, yesterday's match fell far below any to date. Pearce was probably at his worst and failed lamentably with everything, except a sliced full-volley, which was nearly always returned for a winner.
