LUCKY ESCAPE

Large entries featured the April meeting of the Macao Jockey Club, which was held yesterday in delightful weather, the main fea- ture of the meeting being the four spills. Mr. Chanson, Mr. L. B. Chao, Mr. Cooper and Mr. Yeh were all thrown, but happily none seriously injured, although Mr. Chanson had a very lucky escape when he was thrown over his pony's head and narrowly missed be- ing trampled on.
