LADIES' REST TRIALS UNNECESSARY
Miss. B. Pope, left, and Miss P. Gittins, right, should both find places in the senior "Best team to meet the "Y" Ladies, champions of the Caer Clark Cup League, next Saturday. Both will be seen in the senior "Best" trial, which takes place at King's Park, (CRA. ground) this evening at 5 p.m.

MY SELECTIONS FOR SENIOR AND JUNIOR TEAMS

AN unnecessary waste of time has been indulged in by the Hong Kong Ladies Hockey Associa- tion in arranging trials with a view to selecting "Rest" teams to meet the champions of the Caer
MEN TO HOLD ONE MORE Clark Cup and Brawn Cup Leagues.
TRIAL NEXT SUNDAY
(By “STICKS”)
These two teams could quite easily have been selected on play- ers' performances throughout the current season. It did not take me long to select what I thought would be the probable com- position of the two teams for next Saturday's encounters.
These are as follows:
JUNIOR REST
VENTS in the past week have been leading up to the Men's In- terport Hockey match with Macao, and the first trial game was held last Sunday, my comments on which, appeared in these columns J. HALL (ST. ANDREW'S) in yesterday's issues.

I understand that the selectors are not satisfied with last Sunday's effort, and that, weather permitting, a final trial will be held next Sunday morning, on the Club ground, commencing at 11 am. The Interport Selection Committee are meeting to-morrow evening to select the trial teams.
There is a possibility that Lieut. Pritam Nath, of the Rajputana · Rifles, will not be available against Macao as he has been transferred to India and will in all probability leave the Colony by the Transport Dilwara. Should
a vacancy at

YESTERDAY'S DISAPPOINTMENT Much disappointinent was caused at the non-appearance of Miss A. Alves, of Club de Recreio, at yesterday's trial to select a junior “Pest”” team to meet the CB.S.A” next Saturday, and as a result, her claims were not consider- ed by the Selection Committee, which comprised Messrs. A. E. P. Guest (Ba dio), E. Henderson (Y.MC.A.) and K. Hussain KLLC). I understand that Miss J. Gonsalves, the Recreio Ladies' who was also worthy consider- ing, is on the injured list as a result of a knock sustained during last Son- day morning's Brawn Cup encounter against the “X” Ladies.
