The arrival of the Minister of the Interior, Herr Zeiss-Inquart, at Linz, capital of Upper Aus- tria, on Saturday afternoon, was marked by a huge demonstration by Austrian Nazis, some 20,000 of whom lined the streets from the rail- way station to the City Hall, where conversa- tions with the provincial Governor took place. Almost all the demonstrators wore silver swastikas. The whole town was beflagged and while the Min- ister drove through the streets he was greeted with the Hitler salute and shouts of "Heil."
