M. CHAUTEMPS GAINS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON FOREIGN POLICY
Paris, To-day.
THE debate on foreign policy in the Chamber of Deputies ended just before midnight on Satur- day, when a yote of confidence in the Govern- ment was passed by 439 votes to 2.
The resolution read:
"The Chamber approves the ex- planations of the Government and is confident that it will uphold the country's dignity and the mainten- ance of peace, and will respect trea- ties within the framework of collec- tive security and the League of Nations."
