Important Admiralty Plan For Shipping In Time Of War

London, To-day.

According to the Naval Correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" the British Admiralty has now drawn up plans designed to safeguard the supply of Great Britain with foodstuffs and other essential materials in the event of war. These plans are said to be sufficiently far reaching to cope with all exigencies and surprises of mo- dern warfare. Only recently the Admiralty announced the abandonment of the convoy system as a means of safeguarding national supplies during time of war and in its stead proposed that merchantmen should endeavour to reach their port of destination by devious routes.
