BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR OPENS

The London sections of the British Industries Fair which opens here- and in Birmingham this morning are housed year at the new exhibition build- ing at Earls Court as well as at Olympia.
The area of the exhibits has in- creased to 552,557 square feet.

The Engineering and Hardware Section at Castle Bromwich, Bir- mingham, is also bigger than ever. The stands there represent 12 miles of shop fronts. Buyers from over seventy countries are visiting the Fair which will be honoured by visits from royalty on four days this week. EMPIRE SECTION
The Empire section is one of those transferred to the new exhibi- tion buildings and the Dominions and Colonies have magnificently re- alised the possibilities of the new site.
There is no formal opening but the occasion will be celebrated by a banquet in the evening at the Mansion House at which the presi- dent of the Board of Trade will preside and the Prime Minister will speak-British-Wireless.
