THE Combined Services held their final soccer trial yesterday at Sookunpoo before selecting their team to meet the Islington Corinthians, next Sun- day and despite poor conditions, some very bright play was witnessed.

Probables were much the better of Possibles throughout the two halves despite the many changes made, although it is to be re- gretted that there is not another good Service outside-left in the Colony, which would then enable Pearson to fill the centre-forward berth, instead of the left-wing.

Duncan was much the safer of the two goalkeepers, although he was passed on six occasions during the second-half, and had practically no chance of stopping any of the shots.
