STERN TASK FOR I.R.C.
C.C.C. SHOULD BEAT RECREIO IN JUNIOR DIV.
(By "ADREM”)
At the moment of writing, the weather looks far from promising for cricket and unless it brightens up considerably there is very little likelihood of there being any play. Considerable interest is attached to this afternoon's programme ow- ing to a keen struggle between three teams, K.C.C., I.R.C. and C.C.C., for premier honours.
All of these sides will be en- gaged, K.C.C. meet Recreio, at King's Park, LR.C. meet the Club at Sookunpoo, while C.C.C. journey to Sookungo to meet the Army.
Of the three, the present leaders, who hold an advantage of two points over their rivals, appear to have the most difficult task. Club's batting has been strengthened by

ENGLAND IRELAND RUGBY INTERNATIONAL AT
DUBLIN TO-DAY
England will play her second International Rugby match of this season at Dublin to-day when she meets Ireland. She lost her first match to Wales at Car- diff by 14 points to 8. Out of the total number of games play- ed, England have so far 36, Ireland 17, while three have been drawn.
won
The following have been select- ed to represent Ireland:
Daly P. Crowe (Blackrock); (Harlequins), Bailey, McMahon, Lyttle (Collegians;) Cromey, Mor- Irwin gan; Alexander, Graves, (North Ireland), -Mäyne, McGaw, A. Loughlin (University College), Ryan andWalker.
After this game, which will be played on Sunday, February 20, there will be an exhibition clash, with a 14 inch ball in which China will play against the Rest. The shorter gap between bases and the pitching distance is the original indoor baseball, but they were the rules under which the Hong Kong Softball League play- ed their games during the season just concluded.
From the spectator's viewpoint, it not as interesting a game to watch, and for the batter, who is only 30 - feet away from the pitcher, the handicap is overwhelming. It is gratifying to learn that these rules will not be adopted by the League: next season.
Included in the line-up for the Rest will be as follows:
Pitch: Loyola, Molthen (Capt.) and Morreale.
