(By "SHORTSTOP")

THE resumption of the Softball League will wit- ness four games to-morrow, marking the open- ing of the 1938 season with a hurried attempt to conclude the present schedule, in order to make way for the proposed International Softball Series. At 10 a.m., on the Filipino Club ground, the home team will tangle with the H. K. Baseball Club, and will be followed by a game between the Canadian Chinese and the Forum. The C.B.A., will play a double-header on their own ground, crossing bats first with the Vets, and later with the Machine Gunners.

When the present League began, it was generally understood that either the C.B.A., or the Machine Gunners would end up in the cellar position. At present, the C.B.A. is leading the League from the wrong end, but to-morrow's game will undoubtedly decide which of these two Clubs will be holding the bag.
