STOPGAP SILVER PRICE AGREEMENT

A tentative agreement has been concluded
United between the States and Mexico under which American purchases of Mexican silver through January will be con- tinued at the same price as hereto fore, which is about 45 cents 21 ounce.

The Trade Treaty between Ja- pan and Italy, negotiations for which have been under way for some time, is to be concluded at the beginning of next month, ac- cording to the "Asahi Shimbun.“ The new Trade Treaty contains extension of former provisions to apply to new Italian possessions" in East Africa.
