Hankow, To-day.

Although Mr. Sun Fo, President of the Legisla- tive Yuan, is en route to Moscow to represent the Chinese Government in negotiations with the So- viet, his appointment as Chinese Ambassador to Russia is said to be most unlikely.

Mr. Yui Ming, formerly Director of the Shang- hai Office of Foreign Affairs, at present also is en route to Moscow, where he will act as charge affaires pending appointment of a successor to Mr. Ching Ting-fu, who recently returned to China.

Meanwhile, the new Soviet Ambassador to China yesterday. called on Dr. Wang Chung-hui, the Foreign Minister.

!!!

Date of the presentation of his credentials to President Lin Sen has not yet been fixed but is likely to take place early in January.`

Fifty members of the Foreign Office staff are leaving to-day and to-morrow for Chungking by steam- er, but Dr. Wang Chung-hui and the Vice-Minister, Mr. Li Ti-tsun, and director of the publicity department, are remaining in Hanko Reuter.
