Admiral Usborne Again Urges Joint Council

The naval position in the Far East was discuss- ed at a meeting in the House of Commons yester- day of a number of Members of all parties, presided over by Major Sir Cyril Entwistle, Conservative Member for Bolton.

Vice Admiral Usborne spoke of the possibility of collective action on the part of Britain, France and the United States.

He emphasised the importance to Britain and the United States of what he considered to be Jap- an's aim to dominate China to the complete exclu- sion of foreign interests, and said that if British, French and American co-operation could be secur- ed, it would not be difficult to defend the common interest of the three nations.
