INSTITUTE TO LEAD ANTI-EPIDEMIC CAMPAIGN

The Secretary-General of the League of Na- tions is arranging for the formation of an Eng- lish-speaking unit, under the League scheme for technical collaboration with China, in the campaign against epidemics.

This was announced in the House of Commons by the Foreign Secres tary yesterday in answer to a ques tion from Mr. F. C. Watkins (Lab our, Central Hackney).

Mr Eden added that he under- stood that Dr. R. C. Robertson, of the Lester Institute of Medical Re search in Shanghai, had accepted the post of Epidemic Commissioner.
